Places to Submit Articles for Publication

One of the smartest and cost effective methods for marketing on the web is to write articles for PR. Of course, you need to know the places to submit articles for publication.

Duplicate Filter

In the old days [about two years ago], you could really make a lot of headway when it came to getting rankings on Yahoo, Google and MSN by publishing articles promoting your site. All you did was submit them to hundreds of sites and each counted as a one way link back to your site.

Of course, it took forever to submit even a single article to thousands of article directories. In response, various programs and services arose to do it for you in exchange for a bit of money. You could literally generate thousands of links with just one article published and tens of thousands of articles by publishing a new article every few days.

Well, the search engines didn’t think this was a good way to go about the process. As a result, they started filtering out duplicate articles. Google was the first to do it. Now it is a pretty common process. So, what happens?

The search engine in question will determine all the pages on the web that have the same textual content. The engine will then pick the one that is one the highest rated site and include it in its database. All the other pages are included as well, but the links do not count when it comes to determining how many links there are on the web pointing to your site.

The end result of this situation is the question of what places to submit article for publication has really changed. The answer currently is the biggest, baddest article directory out there – ezinearticles.com. Why? Since only one of your articles in going to count when it comes to generating links, there is almost no need to publish them in the thousands of tiny article directories out there.

You are probably wondering if there is anyway to get around this duplicate filter? The answer is yes. If you could figure out a way to make each article unique, you could get around the filter and go back to generating thousands of links with one article. Fortunately, there is a program that lets you do this.

Unique Article Wizard is an interesting little program that does the trick. It is very easy to use, but somewhat difficult to explain. The basic idea behind the program is to mix and match similar paragraphs in three versions of the same article to produce a unique article that can be submitted to a single article directory or ezine. This process can be repeated hundreds of times.

For example, assume you write one article with 10 paragraphs. To use the wizard, you have to re-write the article two times. Each paragraph must cover the same subject, but be written with different text. This sounds complex, but is not. The program takes you through each paragraph, which makes it easy. Once finished, the first paragraph of each article should mean the same thing, but be worded differently. The same goes for the second paragraph and so on.

Now the magic happens. The program will take the three articles and mix and match the paragraphs to create unique articles on the fly. The first article submitted to a directory might have the first article from the third version of the original article, the second paragraph from the first, the third paragraph from the 2nd version and so on. Each time the program submits to a directory, it create an entirely new article. This allows you to get around the duplicate content filter and generate a ton of links.

Unique Article Wizard is a subscription program. At the time of writing this article, it costs $37 a month. It is money well spent if you want to get your articles out on the web, generate tons of links at the same time and get top rankings on Google, Yahoo and MSN.
